As the Global Head of Analytics & Data Solutions at Under Armour, Kurt and his team are focused on creating value for Under Armour, its customers, and consumers through data and analytics. Leveraging the unprecedented amount of data we have about our consumers from our 200+ million global digital fitness and nutrition community, our IoT solutions in wearables and embedded technology, and our global retail presence we have built the Single View of the Consumer (SVOC) platform. This gives UA unprecedented insights into our consumer while enabling us the ability to personalize every digital interaction that our consumers have with the UA brand anywhere in the world. More recently we have extended this to business data and are developing a comparable Single View of the Business. This will enable real time management of our business by informing decisions with data and analytics. Prior to joining Under Armour, Kurt was a Partner with Kurt Salmon, where he led their Merchandising, Marketing, and Digital practice. He has have worked for several other consultancies including McKinsey & Company. He was an executive at Sears Holdings where he led strategy and enterprise analytics, overseeing a large multi-disciplinary team of 100+ individuals. Kurt received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was a recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship. He has a B.S.in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
